Seeing Red
*PayPal Patrol*

I've always wanted to feel livid anger, that frothy, boiling red,
deeply intense anger. I think the moment has finally come thanks to
self-righteous, uptight, whiny people online.
One of my closest friends has worked many years as a website designer. She is a
legitimate business, she makes all designs herself & the sets that she makes
with professional artists work all have permission letters. She contacts them
yearly, renewing their agreement. She has worked herself silly to make sure all
aspects of her business is legal & there will be no repercussions.
She had two design sites. One site had web sets of all varieties, templates,
interfaces, adoptable's, etc. The other site had erotic web sets. Not
pornographic, omg-her-legs-are-spread graphics, but erotic beauty. Say it with
me...erotica is NOT porn. That's another rant for another day.
Well, seeing that we live amongst holier-than-thou, self-righteous, nosey
people, my friend has now had to close her erotic design site & is about to lose
the other one.
Why, you might ask, everything seems legit. It was. Someone came to her erotic
design site in November, saw that she used PayPal & complained to PayPal,
starting so much trouble that they shut down her account, freezing all money she
had in it. Did I mention PayPal never told her nor did the complainant?? Nope.
She found out the hard way, trying to access her money. Her other account, on
the non-erotic site, was suspended, although there is not a damn thing erotic on
there.
The only way to get to her site is by clicking a link from a site she'd made. It
wasn't listed in search engines where kids could find these . My friend is a
mother of 3, she's not going to make her site accessible to kids. And, to be
honest, if kids found them, the most they would've seen is a breast. I think
they can see those anywhere these days.
Who are these people, self-imposed officers of PayPal Patrol?? Is their life
THAT damn bad where they have to sneak onto adult sites, that have warnings,
that insist you be 21, to see what all they might be missing?? Is it guilt?? Are
there little voices in their head telling them that since they shouldn't be
there at that evil site, they must turn the webmaster in, as a sort penance??
Even it out a little, you know.
What concern is it of theirs?? It's not their credit card being used. That's
just like me suing Amoco, for instance, because Jeffrey Dahmer used their gas &
so have I. (ok, it's not exactly like it but I'm pissed you're getting my idea
here) Come on, people!!! It doesn't freakin' matter!!
I'm so tired of discrimination against adult sites. Do people not realize sex is
why they're here, that they're bitching against one of the most natural things
in the world?? Why do people like the PayPal Patrol have to make everything
dirty?? They see nasty images in the clouds in children's movies.
What in God's name is in these people's minds?? Why do we listen to them?? If
they can see sexual visions in the most mundane, innocent things, aren't they
the last people we want to listen to?? Isn't that rather sick, a little
perverted??
I just love knowing there are people out there, like these idiots who really
don't have a clue. Their best friend's sister is probably a Dominatrix, who is
quite wealthy from clients like the PayPatrol officer's husband. She's too busy
trying to find something dirty in the shape of the candy at the store while her
husbands getting it on with the checker!! Helllloooooo!!
Naturally, the story doesn't end there. It's now January, my other close friend
(who happens to be best friends with my friend above...coincidence?? I think
not) has 5 websites, runs different hosting services, some for blogs & journals,
some for sites, some for adult sites & she rocks at making websites. She has a
donate button on her adult themed hosting & she uses PayPal.
One of my other buddies, who also uses this friend's hosting, used one of those
donate buttons, as a nice gesture. This donate button goes thru Paypal.
I just came home from work to read a letter from my friend saying the donate
buttons had to taken off our other friend's site as it has adult content. PayPal
wrote her, threatening to close her account because another site that linked to
her was on an adult site.
WTF?!?! I thought we were growing into more mature people, not being whiny-assed
babies complaining because of the damn adult content. PayPal isn't a webring, it
doesn't have banner exchanges. So, this means someone was at my friends site,
obviously going thru the pages to happen upon this donate button and ran & told
PayPal.
WHY!?!? Besides malicious intent, why in God's name would they do something like
that?? Who the fuck cares if an adult site links to someone else's site using a
damned PayPal button?!?!?! What does it matter?? Is someone's world crashing
because of this?? Is someone so damn deranged to go traipsing across the
internet looking for adult sites using PayPal?? And, if that's not bad enough,
they're following their links & turning in all those people who link to them.
WHY!?!?! WHO CARES???
These people need to get a life. I'm so tired of all this censor crap. Censor
what really needs to be censored & stick to some important subjects. Having
Paypal on a site with erotica is not one of them!!!
Fuck you, PayPal. I don't link to you nor will I ever use your services. You can
thank the PayPal Patrol for that.
